ЧЕМПИОНАТ ЕВРОПЫ С: ИГРА 1, ИСПАНИЯ 40 - 30 МАЛЬТА, Отчет 

Превосходно проведенный первый тайм, охарактеризовался прекрасным хет-триком, которым отметился игрок матча, полный защитник Дани Гарсия, усилиями которого Испания победила Мальту 40-30 в первом матче Чемпионата Европы С  на стадионе Polideportivo Cuatre Carreres, Валенсия.

Хозяева выигрывали 30-6 к перерыву, Гарсия трудно было остановить, когда он рванным бегом бежал на игроков Мальты, и следует еще отметить точную реализацию пяти попыток в первые 40 минут.

"Это был очень физическая игра, и я знал, что будет трудно достигнуть такого уровня," сказал тренер сборной Испании Даррен Фишер. "Таким образом, удалось успокоить нервы перед такой важной игрой, и сыграть с таким возбуждением и страстью, что я не мог не гордиться за них, я взволнован от победы с моими мальчиками."

Мальта сократила разрыв уже на второй минуте второго периода, когда Shan Francois Hussain приземлил мяч, но гости не могли выдержать давление и, стараясь обработать мяч и теряли его, этим воспользовался Иван Мендес, который передал мяч  Antonio Puerta; Гарсия единственный раз пробил мимо из семи реализаций, так что на его счету 24 очка.

Гарсия должен был сделать четвертую попытку вскоре после того, как Hadriel Mehamed Гонсалес прекрасно прошел к зачетной линии, но мяч, переданный во внутрь выпал.  

Посетители, которые у себя дома в Греции на 10 октября в игре два, закончил сильно, нападающий Жан-Пьер Зарб переходя из широко и Джейк Линч пересечения с финального, Блайтон-Держите goaling обоих.

RUGBY LEAGUE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP C : GAME 1 – SPAIN 40 MALTA 30 – Report 

A superb first half, characterised by a wonderful hat-trick from man of the match, full-back Dani Garcia saw Spain take the spoils in the opening game of European Championship C, as they beat Malta 40-30 at the Polideportivo Cuatre Carreres Stadium, Valencia. 

The hosts led 30-6 at the break, Garcia unstoppable as he ran Malta ragged, the La Reole  custodian also landing five goals in a blistering opening 40 minutes. 

“It was a very physical game and I knew it was going to be difficult raising to this level,” said Spain coach Darren Fisher. “So to settle the nerves for such an important game, play with such excitement and passion, I couldn’t be prouder of them, I’m thrilled to bits with the boys.” 

Spain got off to the perfect start, hooker Gonzalo Morro sniping over, Garcia then crossing twice in six minutes. Palau centre Alex O’Doutres extended the lead, Garcia taking it to 30 unanswered points; Sam Blyton-Keep getting the visitors on the board just before the half hour with a self-converted try, part of a personal 14-point haul. 

Malta narrowed the gap two minutes into the second period when Shan Francois Hussain crossed but the visitors couldn’t sustain the pressure and, trying to force the ball and losing possession, saw it snapped up by Ivan Mendez who sent in Antonio Puerta; Garcia with his only goal miss from seven attempts in his tally of 24 points. 

Andrew Muscat again got Malta on the front foot, carving out an opening that Joe Burke finished well but the islanders were penalised on their own 20 after a fracas and Andy Pilkington made them pay with a try. 

Garcia should have had a fourth soon after, Hadriel Mehamed González with a fine break down the touchline side but his inside ball fumbled.

The visitors, who are at home to Greece on 10th October in game two, finished strongly, winger Jean-Pierre Zarb going over out wide and Jake Lynch crossing with the final play, Blyton-Keep goaling both. 

“The Spanish were the better side, they took their chances extremely well,” said Malta player/coach Chris Parker. “We were disappointed in our performance and need to build on how we finished for the next game.” 

The winners of European Championship C will take the final place in the 2016 European Qualifiers for the World Cup the following year.

ИСПАНИЯ ГОТОВА СДЕЛАТЬ СЛЕДУЮЩИЙ ШАГ НА ПУТИ К КУБКУ МИРА ПО РЕГБИ ЛИГ

Чемпионат Регби Лиг Европы С стартует в эту субботу (26 сентября) в Испании, которая победила Латвию в пред-квалификационном турнире, а теперь принимает Мальту на стадионе Polideportivo Cuatre Carreres, в Валенсии (kick off 6pm).

Это будет впервые, когда нации встречаются в матче.

Грецией третья страна в турнире, возможный победитель присоединится к разведенным по разным группам Уэльсу и Ирландии вместе с Россией, Италией и Сербией, которые в 2016 в Европейских квалификационных турнирах разыграют путевки на Чемпионат мира по РЛ 2017.

Главный тренер сборной Испании Даррен Фишер может чувствовать нарастающее возбуждение в своей команде, поскольку они готовы принять Мальтийскую сборную.

"Подготовка прошла очень хорошо за эти последние пару недель, и мы также просмотрели много качественных игроков в команде, которые  заслуживают рубашку сборной," сказал он.

Испанцы подготовились, победив Италию 'B' 36-24 в последний уик-энд в Аликанте, и десять разных клубов представлены в списке команды из 20-человек.

В то же время тренер/игрок Мальты Крис Паркер чувствует, что его команда готовилась в течение лета.

"Мы с нетерпением ждем матч с еще одной новой нацией. У нас был отличный результат против Ирландии две недели назад и должны установить этот матч в качестве стандарта для нас, "прокомментировал он.

SPAIN READY TO TAKE NEXT STEP ALONG RUGBY LEAGUE WORLD CUP PATH

Rugby League’s European Championship C kicks off this Saturday (26^th September) with Spain, who defeated Latvia in a pre-qualifier, hosting Malta at the at Polideportivo Cuatre Carreres Stadium, Valencia (kick off 6pm).

It will be the first time the nations have met.

With Greece the third nation in the tournament, the eventual winner will join seeds Wales and Ireland along with Russia, Italy and Serbia in the 2016 European Qualifiers for the 2017 World Cup.

Spain coach Darren Fisher can feel the growing excitement within his squad as they get ready to host the Maltese.

“Preparations have gone really well these last couple of weeks and we’ve also seen a higher number of quality players in the squad that all deserve a shirt,” he said.

“That shows me how much rugby league is growing and developing in Spain. The meaning attached to hosting our first World Cup qualifier will have a dramatic effect for us, our supporters and raising the level of development of the game here too.”

The Spaniards prepared by beating Italy ‘B’ 36-24 last weekend in Alicante and ten different clubs are represented in his 20-man squad.

Malta interim player/coach Chris Parker feels that his side has gelled over the summer.

“We're looking forward to playing another new nation. We had a great warm up against Ireland two weeks ago and need to set that as the standard we play,” he commented.

 “We know Spain are coming off the back of an impressive win against the Italians and will be confident going into the game. We're expecting a fast pace and a high skill level.

 “For us, our forwards are going to have to stand up if we are to get anything out of the game.”
